Application & Substrate Preparation Guidelines
Substrate Preparation
Cementitious/brick/stone substrates: clean via high-pressure water jet, remove loose material
New concrete: cure for ≥28 days, pull-off strength ≥1.5 N/mm²
Substrate moisture content ＜6%, no rising moisture/condensation
Prime with 10% water-diluted K8 (consumption 0.3 kg/m²)
Mixing Steps
Stir thoroughly for 1 minute with 300-500 rpm drill (basket mixer)
Avoid over-mixing to reduce air entrainment, homogeneous mixture only
Application Operation
Apply 2-6 coats after primer is tack-free, max 0.8 kg/m² per coat (no reinforcement)
Use short-piled roller (flat roof) + thick hair brush (details/penetrations)
Ensure each coat is fully dry (no pinholes) before next application
Minimum dry film thickness: 0.35 mm
Key Construction Notes
Apply when ambient/substrate temperature is falling (avoid pinholing)
Surface temp ≥3°C above dew point during application
Clean tools with water immediately after use (mechanical removal for cured material)
Critical Warnings
Do not apply on substrates with rising moisture/condensation
Do not use in inclement weather (rain/fog/＞80% humidity)
Not for long-term ponding water/permanent immersion areas
Not recommended for pedestrian traffic (cover with paving if unavoidable)
Do not apply cementitious products directly on cured K8
