Application & Mixing Guidelines
1 Surface Preparation
All substrates: structurally sound, clean (free of dirt/grease/paint/oil/loose contaminants)
Remove sharp protrusions (avoid membrane piercing)
Fill all gaps/voids firmly and fully support the substrate
2 Mixing Steps
Pour 20kg K9 Latex into clean vessel β add 16kg Portland Cement
Mix with 350 rpm mechanical mixer until lump-free homogeneous admixture
Use low-speed mixing only, no additional sand added (reduces flexibility)
3 Application Operation
1st coat: apply 0.75 kg/γ‘ K9-cement admixture on substrate
2nd coat: lay fiberglass reinforcing woven-mat + roll 0.75 kg/γ‘ admixture
3rd coat: optional, apply for enhanced waterproofing (after previous coat curing)
Allow membrane to cure for β₯24 hours before tiling/covering (longer for confined/unfavorable weather)
Critical Warnings
Do not add sand to K9-cement admixture (causes cracking, reduces flexibility)
Do not apply in extreme temperatures (οΌ5Β°C / οΌ40Β°C)
Do not cover the membrane within 24 hours of final coat application
Do not use directly for permanent water immersion (needs protective top layer)
